On 28 April 2025, the SPIE Group held its annual Safety Day - a global initiative promoting the highest standards in health and safety. The event unites SPIE employees around a common goal: eliminating accidents, preventing incidents and building a culture of responsibility and trust.
This year's corporate celebration was held under the theme: "Safety and Integrity: a Collective Approach at SPIE" highlighting the importance of collective action, transparency and the courage to identify and report risks in the workplace.
As part of Safety Day at Central Europe region, employees from 12 companies in Poland, Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary had the opportunity to participate in wide range of activities - from practical workshops and training on safe driving, first aid and ergonomics at work, to meetings devoted to everyday aspects of safety in the workplace.
Here are the main events that took place in the region as part of Safety Day:
- Safe Driving School "passenger and off-road vehicles",
- Hands-on first aid training,
- Electrical safety workshop,
- Workshops on ergonomics in the office "healthy spine",
- Workshops on safety culture,
- Practical training in the use of hand-held firefighting equipment,
- Practical verification of the evacuation of employees from the premises,
- Safety audits.
