SPIE Innovation Day 2026 in Düsseldorf: most interesting innovations awarded

Zawartość

On 25 March 2026, the next edition of SPIE Innovation Day, one of the most important events carried out as part of the SPIE Group's innovation strategy, took place in Düsseldorf.

At the gala, the jury awarded the most groundbreaking projects out of more than 100 innovations submitted, responding to challenges such as infrastructure digitalisation, energy management, industrial efficiency and urban network development.

In the Tech FM category, the winner was the project "Using AI for knowledge transfer in Facility Management" developed by two international teams: SPIE Talents 2024 and ID Team 2025, with a representative from SPIE Poland, Grzegorz Pióro, Technical Development Manager at SPIE Building Solutions.

The solution presented uses artificial intelligence to collect and organise technical knowledge, making it easier to transfer it to new employees and preserve the organisation's know-how.

Awards were also given in the categories: Building Technology, City Networks, Digital, Industry, Information & Communication Services and Wind Energy. A special award went to Aghiles Djellal of SPIE Belgium for his project 'CO₂ compliance verification of suppliers assisted by artificial intelligence', which supports companies in monitoring and reducing their carbon footprint.

In SPIE, innovation is of strategic importance. The Group is committed to developing solutions that realistically support customers and improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of infrastructure. By sharing the knowledge and experience of employees, technical solutions that create real value can be designed and implemented.
